Muskrat Falls - Nalcor Energy

Phase one of the Lower Churchill Project is referred to as the Muskrat Falls Project – an 824 megawatt Hydro facility near Goose Bay.

 

Supermetal has fabricated and erected 4000t for a powerhouse enclosing four turbines with two service bays for Astaldi Canada.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of more than 4,600 skilled workers from our NL, Astaldi and their team of subcontractors has substantially completed construction of the powerhouse and intake structures for the Muskrat Falls generating facility.

​

Construction of these structures moves the project closer to delivering first power from the generating plant in 2019. Once in operation, the Muskrat Falls generating facility will be one of the largest in Canada.
