CIBC SQUARE II - 141 Bay Street

Currently under construction, the CIBC SQUARE II office tower at 141 Bay Street will become a twin tower icon in Canada's largest city.

The 56-story building will include a one-acre pedestrian park connecting the two towers enabling expansive views over Toronto's rail system leading into Union Station.

Supermétal Construction is in the midst of erecting 18,000 metric tonnes of steel for this project. The fabricated steel is coming mostly from the Canam plants in Quebec with metal deck produced from the Canam plant in Mississauga, Ontario.

The extremely tight jobsite requires deliveries in a timely fashion with many critical pieces being installed as soon as they arrive. The narrow footprint requires sloped cantilevered columns tying into massive 28 ton embedded nodes.
